NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma rowing team hosts a three-way competition against SMU and Kansas Sunday, March 29, in Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Boathouse.
The Sooner varsity four faces SMU, Kansas and Kansas second varsity at 9 a.m. in the first race of the day. Racing continues at 9:30 a.m. when the novice eight faces SMU and Kansas. OU's novice four competes for the first time this season against SMU and the OU club team at 10 a.m. Concluding the competition is the second novice eight, who faces Kansas at 10:30 a.m.

The varsity went 2-2 in Austin, defeating Iowa, eight minutes 21.9 seconds-to-8:56.1 and Central Florida by 29 seconds. Oklahoma's only losses came to the defending national champion Wisconsin lightweights in two close races. The first race OU posted a time of 7:33.7 to Wisconsin's 7:32.5 and race two OU was defeated, 7:59.3-to-7:55.8.
The Sooner first novice eight went 2-1 on Lady Bird Lake only losing to Kansas State, 7:48.1-to-7:41.5. OU defeated Texas, 7:04.5-to-7:11.6, and Iowa, 7:35.6-to-7:36.5.
Oklahoma's second novice eight went 0-1 losing to Texas, 7:43.47-to-7:42.0.
