NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 16 Sooners (7-3) return home on Tuesday to begin an eight-game stand against Arkansas Little Rock (4-4). The doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park with game two starting approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one.
The Trojans, under first year head coach Scott Norwood, are coming off a 2-1 series defeat against Valparaiso at home. UALR was picked to finish 11th in the Sun Belt Conference after finishing 10th in 2008 with a 16-32 overall record (10-18 in conference play) in 2008. The Trojans return 11 letterwinners from that squad.
The Trojans' pitching staff owns a 4.19 ERA and will start Anthony Pryor (0-0,13.50) in game one and Alex Smith (0-0, 5.62) in game two. Offensively, UALR is hitting .251 as a team with Landis Wilson leading the way with a .348 batting average with seven RBIs.
The Sooners and Trojans have met in 18 games, all played in Norman, over the years with OU owning a 16-2 advantage. The two have not met since 2004, a 7-5 OU win, after beginning the series in 1986. UALR's two wins in the all-time series came in 1999 and 2002.

TICKETS
Seats remain for this week's game and gates will open 90 minutes prior to first pitch. Tickets are available at the gate, online or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU. The office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on the plaza level of the Asp Avenue parking garage.

Tuesday's doubleheader marks the start of Oklahoma's longest home stand of 2009 with eight games. OU will host UCLA in a three-game set over the weekend. Game one on Friday is slated for 3 p.m. first pitch. On Saturday, the series continues at noon and then concludes on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Sooners have posted 10 or more hits in all but two games this season and plated 10 or more runs in six contests ...
