NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma rowing team begins its spring season March 20-22 in Austin, Texas at the Longhorn Invitational. Duals begin Friday and run through Sunday. First-year head coach Leeanne Crain and the Sooners are looking forward to the competition.
"We're looking forward to good racing this weekend in Austin,” Crain said. “We'll face some great competition and the Henley style (dual boat) format will provide us the opportunity to race several times over the weekend, which is ideal this early in the season."

• Racing is dual format (two boats at a time) and the race distance is 2000 meters.
