Preseason Banquet Set for Oct. 18

NORMAN, Okla. -- Sherri Coale and the University of Oklahoma women's basketball team invite Sooner fans to join them in celebration of the 2008-09 season at the team's annual postseason banquet Monday, April 20.

The festivities will take place at the U.S. Postal Service National Center for Employee Development at 2701 E. Imhoff Road in Norman. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m.

Seats are $45 for adults and $30 for children. Checks (please do not send cash) should be sent to:

Due to limited seating availability, checks must be received before seats can be reserved. Should registered fans be unable to attend the banquet for any reason, the cost will be considered a donation to Oklahoma Women's Basketball.

The Sooners claimed their sixth Big 12 regular-season title in 2009 and ended the season in the Final Four. Oklahoma boasts the 2009 Big 12 Coach of the Year Sherri Coale, Player of the Year Courtney Paris, Freshman of the Year Whitney Hand and Sixth Man Award winner Nyeshia Stevenson.
