Sooners Head to Final Round in 11th

KAMUELA, Hawaii - The Oklahoma men's golf squad heads to the final round of the 19th-annual University of Hawaii at Hilo Invitational Golf Tournament in 11th place at the Mauna Lani Resort North Course.
The Sooners shot a second-round team score of 303 (+15) at the par-72, 6,913-yard layout on Thursday.
OU redshirt-freshman Riley Pumphrey fired his second consecutive even-par 72 and stands 12th after 36 holes. Five shots behind Pumphrey is junior Ben Blundell, who shot 79 on Thursday after a tournament-opening 70 yesterday.
Liam Logan (75-75) and Chris Wilson (77-77) sit T39th and T59th, respectively. Rounding out the Oklahoma team scoring is Eric Durbin (85-83) in a tie for 96th.

No. 2 Southern Cal (285-284) fired the low round of the day with a 4-under-par 284, passing overnight leader Washington by four strokes. UW's Richard Lee holds a two-shot advantage in the race for medalist honors after rounds of 68 and 70.
Tomorrow's final round will begin with a 11:30 (CT) shotgun start.
