NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 2 Oklahoma men's gymnastics team kept its undefeated streak alive in dominating fashion, defeating its fourth top-10 opponent on the year, with a win over No. 9 Nebraska at the Howard McCasland Field House on Saturday.
The Sooners claimed their third victory over the Huskers in 2009, scoring a 358.300-342.400 win over NU. OU's team total was the second highest this season in the NCAA.
"I'm really proud of the way our guys competed tonight, we seemed to fix the problem that we had earlier this season," said head coach Mark Williams. "We are starting to put things together and very happy with the performances tonight."
OU opened the night with an event title on floor and a pair of season-high scores for sophomore Steven Legendre (15.800) and freshman Pat Piscitelli (14.750).
Oklahoma posted its highest team score of the year with a 57.750 on pommel horse, while senior Jason Laughton claimed the event title for the Sooners with a team season high and career high individual score of 15.000.

The Sooners dominated vault with a program record team tally of 64.500. Legendre led the way and posted a school-record 16.500 while sophomore Bobby Shortle and senior Russell Czeschin posted career marks of 16.000 and 16.100, respectively.
"It's fun to have meets like this and it's nice to see the hard work we put in this week pay off in our routines," added Williams.
Oklahoma finished the night with season-high totals coming from Laughton on parallel bars (14.400) and a high bar (14.600).
Legendre won the all-around competition with a score of 90.750, winning four events Saturday evening en route to the crown.
Oklahoma next travels to Minneapolis, Minn., to compete against conference-rival No. 3 Stanford and No. 6 Minnesota on March 7. It will be the first of two season trips to the site as the 2009 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championship will be held in Minneapolis on April 16-18.
