ATLANTA -- Oklahoma's Ashley and Courtney Paris were named to the 30-player Naismith Trophy mid-season candidate list, announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club Wednesday.

Joining the Paris twins on the watch list were four other players from the Big 12 -- Kansas State's Shalee Lehning, Kansas' Danielle McCray, Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley and Baylor's Danielle Wilson -- and a trio of Connecticut Huskies -- Tina Charles, Renee Montgomery and Maya Moore.

Jayne Appel (Stanford), Chante Black (Duke), DeWanna Bonner (Auburn), Jessica Breland (North Carolina), Alysha Clark (Middle Tennessee), Shayla Fields (North Carolina State), Rachele Fitz (Marist), Tyra Grant (Penn State), Laura Kurz (Penn State), Jantel Lavender (Ohio State), Lyndra Littles (Virginia), Angel McCoughtry (Louisville), Aisha Mohammed (Virginia), Ta'Shia Phillips (Xavier), Epiphanny Prince (Rutgers), Kristi Toliver (Maryland), Ashley Walker (California), Morgan Warburton (Utah), Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton (Purdue), Monica Wright (Virginia) and Shavonte Zellous (Pittsburgh) complete the mid-season list.

The Naismith has been presented to the top women's college basketball player since 1983 when Old Dominion's Anne Donovan won the inaugural award.

The mid-season list was voted by the Atlanta Tipoff Club's board of selectors, comprised of leading basketball journalists, coaches and administrators, based upon individual performances this season.

Courtney Paris has been a finalist for the award the past three seasons and was the 2005 Naismith High School Girls' Player of the Year.

The 2009 Naismith Trophy winner will be announced at the NCAA Women's Final Four in St. Louis.
