NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma men's tennis team unveils the highly anticipated Gregg Wadley Indoor Tennis Pavilion against No. 34 TCU Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m.

The Horned Frogs and Sooners met last year at the TCU campus where OU came up short, falling to then No. 29 TCU.

"We had a very close match with them last year that could have gone either way," OU head coach Paul Lockwood said. "We hope to be able to walk away with the win."

The opening of the Gregg Wadley pavilion marks the beginning of new era in OU tennis. Highlights of the new, 55,000 square-foot facility includes six air-conditioned courts, championship-quality lighting and surface, and approximately 375 chair-back seats for spectators, which are elevated between the courts.

"We're excited to finally have the opportunity to play on the OU campus for the first time indoors in the history of the program," Lockwood said.

OU is coming off a solid performance at the Great Northwest Shootout in Seattle, Wash. However, the Sooners were unable to pick up a victory against two top-40 opponents.

The Sooners, No. 72-ranked nationally, are led by junior Andrei Daescu, ranked No. 44 nationally and No. 5 in the ITA Central Region. Two other Sooners are ranked in the ITA top-150. Senior Sergey Avdeyev is No. 77 and Ionut Beleleu checks in at No. 122.

"The players have had a good week of practice," Lockwood said. "We look forward to a very tough match with TCU who is a highly nationally ranked team."

Daescu and the rest of the Sooners will face three ranked opponents from TCU; Emanu Brighiu (No. 93), Kriegler Brink (No. 97), and Adrian Simon (No. 110).
