Oklahoma is 9-2 after winning its fourth straight game when tied or trailing at halftime, a 67-58 victory at Creighton on Dec. 20.
Cal State Fullerton is 4-7 after losing at Tulsa Monday night, 78-58.
The Series
Cal State Fullerton and Oklahoma are meeting for the first time. Fullerton is 7-22 all-time versus Big 12 teams.

PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA
The Sooners were picked by the league's coaches to finish fifth in the strong Big 12 Conference this season.
The Sooners enter 2009-10 following one of its best seasons in history. Oklahoma notched a program record 32 wins, won its sixth Big 12 regular season title and made its second trip to the Final Four. OU returns eight letterwinners from the squad, including three starters. PreseasonAll-American Danielle Robinson and senior co-captain Amanda Thompson will lead the charge.

PREVIEWING FULLERTON
Cal State Fullerton returns eight letterwinners and three starters off of last season's squad that finished 10-20 overall, 5-11 in the Big West Conference, and reached the semifinals of the Big West Tournament before falling to eventual tournament champion UC Santa Barbara.
The roster features a mix of Division I veterans (seven upperclassmen and a pair of sophomores) and newcomers to the college game (seven freshmen), but will have a pair of big holes to fill with the loss of starters Toni Thomas (ranked second on the school's career scoring and rebounding lists) and point guard Daviyonne Weathersby (199 career assists and 129 career steals).
Cal State Fullerton was picked to finish seventh in the Big West Conference in 2009-10 according to a vote of media members that cover the league. The Titans, who finished sixth a season ago, received 59 points to finish ahead of Cal State Northridge (41) and UC Irvine (39). Defending champion UC Santa Barbara received 10 of a possible 20 first-place votes and 162 points overall to stand atop the poll, picked to win their third consecutive and 14th overall league crown. UC Davis was close behind in second place with six first-place votes and 155 points followed by Cal Poly and UC Riverside.
COALE'S 300th WIN APPROACHING
Sherri Coale will be aiming for her 295th coaching win when OU hosts Cal State Fullerton, Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Coale's first win came in her first game as OU's head coach, a 62-50 victory over Oral Roberts on Nov. 22, 1996.
The 100th win came 170 games later on Feb. 5, 2002, a 69-60 win over then-No. 10 Baylor at Norman.
Win No. 200 came 141 games later on March 8, 2006, a 78-74 win over Iowa State in the first round of the Big 12 Championship.
SECOND HALF STUNNERS
Oklahoma has trailed or been tied at half in four straight games and five of the last six (led by one vs. UT-Arlington), yet has won five straight games including two in overtime. The Sooners are scoring 35.2 points in first halves this year and 41.1 in the second halves.
The Sooners have a better field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage and rebounding margin in the second half of games than in the first half. Incredibly, OU shoots 37 percent from beyond the arc in second halves and only 22 percent in the first periods. Defensively, OU also holds opponents to lower numbers in all three categories in the second half versus first halves this season.
LIGHTING IT UP
Robinson OU's 23rd 1,000-Point Scorer
Danielle Robinson scored nine points to become Oklahoma's 23rd player to reach 1,000 in a career against Marist, Dec. 9. She now has 1,040 career points scored.
Courtney Paris achieved 1,000 career points in 46 career games and no other player since the year 2000 achieved the mark quicker than her.
The NCAA record is 37 games held by three players (Maree Jackson, LSU; Carol Menken, Oregon State; and Sandra Hodge, New Orleans).
Robinson Reaches 400 Career Assists
Danielle Robinson recorded her 400th career assist with her fifth and final one versus Marist.
Robinson is fourth on OU's career assist list and trails Sharee Mitchum (1992-95), who had 601, for third place.
Stacey Dales (764) and Dionnah Jackson (606) are first and second in the all-time rankings.
Nationally, Robinson ranks 31st in assists per game.
Stevenson Matches 3-Point Record
Nyeshia Stevenson's nine 3-pointers made versus Marist helped her establish a new career scoring high and also matched a 28-year-old Sooner record.
The only other Sooner to make as many 3-pointers in a game was Carin Stites, who did it twice -- vs. Arkansas on Nov. 27, 1990, and vs. UT-San Antonio on Jan. 21, 1991.
Running and Gunning
Oklahoma's fast-paced offense can score points in a flurry. In 11 games this season, OU has achieved 11 double-digit scoring runs.
Conversely, opponents have only two runs of 10 or more points against Oklahoma. Notre Dame managed a 20-0 run in the second half of its game with OU and Arkansas had a 10-0 run in the first half of its matchup.
ON THE DEFENSIVE
National Defense
Oklahoma's defense versus Army set the tone as the Sooners held the Black Knights to 25 percent (14 of 56) shooting and just 46 points.
The point total was the lowest for a Sooner opponent since OU held North Carolina Central to 25 points on Jan. 4, 2009. It was the lowest point total for a Sooner opponent on the road since OU defeated Lamar, 79-44, at Beaumont, Texas, on Nov. 29, 2006.
Block Party
Amanda Thompson is the only Sooner in history under 6-foot-2 to have 30 or more blocks in a season -- a feat she has achieved twice. Through nine games in her senior season, she already has 14, putting her on pace to reach 40 this year.
Amanda Thompson had 21 blocks as a freshman, 34 as a sophomore and 31 as a junior.
NEXT UP
Oklahoma visits Knoxville and the Tennessee Lady Vols Sunday, Jan. 3, at Thompson-Boling Arena. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. Central.
