Oklahoma head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
"I thought that we were really flat in the second half and that is discipline. We have to get better at playing the whole game regardless of the situations and doing what we do and when we can. We showed our immaturity, passed up some shots in the second half, and missed three or four layups."

"The reasons for these exhibition games is to expose things and go back to practice to work on them. And no matter how much we my be telling them in practice, until they happen to our guys in practice when the lights our on, they may not here us like they want too and we will be able to show them at practice."

On conditioning:
"We were holding them in for long periods of time and in the first half we were rotating them through and we let them sit longer in the second half and get some experience for our new guys. But overall I thought that the game conditioning was good for the first game and especially the pace that we played at."

On freshmen on the team:
"They were real freshmen tonight, like deer in the headlights but they will relax and get accustom to it. They are going to have to perform for us."

On the style of play for Oklahoma:
"I think that we will be able to be very versatile. Occasionally we will be taking some risks which will result in some easy baskets for the opposition but we are going to turn it right back around on them. But overall in the first half we played at a really loose pace, kept pressure on the defense on the basketball but only had five turnovers and played very sound. The first half I was really please but the second half not so much."

Senior Forward/Guard Nyeshia Stevenson
On her shooting performance:
"I wasn't contested that much so I was wide open and I knew I wouldn't get more open than this so I just took it.  I was a little uneasy during warm-ups because the ball was going all over the place but I didn't give up I just keep shooting."

On starting instead of coming off the bench:
"It's not that different.  The only thing that is different is when the lights go out, you get to shake the hands, and then the tip.  But after that it's just straight up.  It's just like I'm coming in off the bench.  It's not that different."

Sophomore Guard Whitney Hand
On the freshmen's performance:
"It was the first game for them.  I remember last year I was just kind of everywhere.  I felt like they saw all the right things, everything was just a little hurried.  But I mean they made all the right reads.  Jo (Joanna McFarland) kicked it out to me one time and it was an awesome pass.  Lyndsey (Cloman) rolls great and she sets awesome screens.  It's just a different kind of post game, Courtney (Paris) is going to burry you in the lane and you're not going to be able to guard her. Lyndsey and Jo are going to maybe screen and pop or screen and roll.  They just have different skill sets.  It is different but it allows our offense to move a little faster and obviously it worked well tonight."

On her shooting performance:
"We were guarded straight up, so when they took one thing away they gave us another.  When they're going to pressure the ball like that and Danielle (Robinson) is going to have assists and we're going to get wide open shots.  That's our job to hit the shots and we did tonight."

On the guards filling the gap of the Paris twins:
"It's been so engrained in our head to shoot the ball.  Don't pass up an open shot.  That is the only thing Coach (Coale) said to me before the game.  We understand that that is our role.  Those shots that Courtney (Paris) and Ashley (Paris) took are going to have to come from somewhere.  If that is what is going to be open during the game then we are going to shoot it.  That is as natural for us as it is for Courtney to shoot a layup.  It's what we do."
