GAME PREVIEW
Oklahoma (No. 20 AP/No. 16 Coaches) retruns to the Lloyd Noble Center for its final home game in November. OU faces TCU at 2 p.m. The game will broadcast live in the Oklahoma City area on KOKC AM 1520 with Brian Brinkley and Kendra Wecker calling the action.

• General admission tickets are available for adults are $8. Youth (K-12) tickets are $5.  Lloyd Noble Center's ticket box offices will open one and one-half hours prior to tip-off.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
• Oklahoma is ranked No. 16 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll and No. 20 in the Associated Press Poll. The Sooners are 1-1, having defeated Mercer in their home opener and lost to Georgia in Athens, Ga.
• TCU is 2-0 after crushing Houston Baptist, 105-30, in its opener and beating Fresno State, 63-52.
• TCU and Oklahoma are meeting for the 13th time.
• OU leads the overall series 10-2 and is 6-0 in Norman.
• Oklahoma defeated TCU, 77-63, in the last meeting between the two teams in Norman on Nov. 30, 2005.
• Oklahoma was No. 20 in the AP Poll the last time it played TCU on Nov. 30, 2005.
• OU holds an average margin of victory in the series of 16 points.
Sherri Coale is 287-133 (.683) in her 14th season at Oklahoma. She has been the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
• TCU head coach Jeff Mittie is 218-106 (.672) in his 11th season at the the school.

PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA
The Sooners were picked by the league's coaches to finish fifth in the strong Big 12 Conference this season.

The Sooners enter 2009-10 following one of its best seasons in history. Oklahoma notched a program record 32 wins, won its sixth Big 12 regular season title and made its second trip to the Final Four. OU returns eight letterwinners from the squad, including three starters. Preseason Wooden Award candidate Danielle Robinson, the returning Big 12 Freshman of the Year Whitney Hand and senior co-captain Amanda Thompson will lead the charge.

 
 Sooner to Watch 

Amanda Thompson | Sr. | Forward
Chicago's Amanda Thompson is the lone Sooner averaging a double-double this season. After two games, Thompson is posting numbers of 12.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. The Lowe's Senior CLASS Award candidate is also the team's leader in blocks.

   

PREVIEWING TCU
Eight letterwinners who accounted for all but three starts from a season ago return for TCU this season.

Among the returnees are three players who earned All-Mountain West Conference honors as underclassmen in 2008-09--junior Helena Sverrisdottir (first team), senior TK LaFleur (second team; MWC Newcomer of the Year) and junior Emily Carter (second team). Former Lady Frog Michaela Younger (three starts at center) was the only player with starting experience lost.

Overall, TCU returns 91.1 percent of scoring (top five scorers), 79.1 percent of rebounding (top seven players) and 92.9 percent of its assist totals (top six players) from a year ago.

LAST TIME VS. TCU
Courtney Paris had 22 points and 17 rebounds in Oklahoma's, 77-63 over TCU on Nov. 30, 2005.

Ahead by eight at the break, Oklahoma opened the second half with a 16-0 run, fueled by 3-pointers from Erin Higgins and Britney Brown.

The Horned Frogs closed within 12 points with just under six minutes remaining. Paris answered with consecutive inside baskets, and the Sooners closed the game by shooting 10-for-10 from the line.

TCU led for nearly the first five minutes before the Sooners went on a 16-3 run to pull ahead with seven minutes remaining.

Davis kept the Horned Frogs within striking difference early, hitting 5-of-7 3-pointers in the first half and scoring all 15 of her points in the first half.

Higgins led the Sooners in the first half with 11 points, including a 3-for-5 effort from 3-point range.

Oklahoma outrebounded TCU 50-28. The Paris sisters -- Courtney and Ashley -- combined for 28 rebounds.

NEXT UP
The Sooners spend Thanksgiving Week in the U.S. Virgin Islands where they will face off against South Carolina (Nov. 26), San Diego State (Nov. 27) and Notre Dame (Nov. 28).
