20 Random Facts: Kirsten Allen

As the 2010 softball season approaches, SoonerSports.com introduces a new weekly feature entitled 20 Random Facts with the Oklahoma softball team. Get to know the players through their own words. Which Sooner owns a dachshund named Wubbie? And can you guess which freshman put too much detergent in the washing machine during her first attempt at on-campus laundry? Check back every Monday for a new segment. It all leads up to the start of the Sooners' run at another Big 12 Championship this February.

Kirsten Allen | Sophomore| Union, Ky.

  1. My favorite color is lime green, and I'm literally obsessed with it.
  2. I was actually born in Manhattan, Kan. and moved to Kentucky when I was six.
  3. I fear the deep ocean and the huge sea life in it.
  4. I love putting Ranch dressing on almost everything I eat.
  5. My favorite animals are a giraffe and platypus.
  6. I have more than 50 cousins. My mom is one of 15 kids and my dad is one of seven.
  7. I get a sweet tea every day before I go to classes. 
  8. I love playing video games, especially Mario Kart on Wii 10. 
  9. I have an obsession with animal prints. My bedroom is leopard and my bathroom is zebra!
  10. I have a little Beagle/Dachshund mix puppy named Derby.
  11. I played year-round volleyball along with softball until my junior year of high school. 
  12. My favorite meal my mom makes is homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob!
  13. I named my Black Toyota Yaris. She's named Black Betty.
  14. The Hangover is my favorite movie. I can quote it all day long!
  15. One of my all-time favorite songs to listen to before games is Poker Face by Lady GaGa.
  16. Barbies were my favorite toys when I was growing up. I had about every one!
  17. When it comes to games, I'm very superstitious. I wear the same hair things, bobby pins, ribbons, same sliders, socks, etc.
  18. I am the oldest of four kids: me, sister Taylor (17), brother Will (12), and brother Ryan (6).
  19. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. My birthday is four days after it!
  20. I am a huge Bengals fan and still have faith in them!
