Women's Hoops Scrimmages Tuesday

NORMAN, Okla. -- Get the first look at the OU women's basketball team as Sherri Coale's Sooners take to the Lloyd Noble Center floor Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m., for an exclusive scrimmage open to Fast Break Club members and season-ticket holders.

OU promises to feature a more up-tempo offense and more lock-down defense with its new cast of characters.

The team will scrimmage for approximately one-and-one-half hours and then will sign autographs for Fast Break Club members.

OU returns eight players from the 2009 Final Four team, including preseason All-American Danielle Robinson and Big 12 Freshman of the Year Whitney Hand, and will battle through one of the NCAA's toughest schedules once again in 2009-10.

In addition to home dates against defending national champions Connecticut, Arkansas, TCU and members of the Big 12, Oklahoma also plays on the road against Tennessee, Notre Dame, Georgia, South Carolina and San Diego State.

The season begins Nov. 13 with a matchup against Mercer at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Oklahoma also plays exhibition games against Rogers State College (Nov. 4) and Oklahoma Christian (Nov. 10). Both of those games tip off at 7 p.m.

Oklahoma is pleased to offer a limited amount of its reserved seats (lower bowl sections) available through the 5-game “Pick-A-Pack” option, which allows fans to purchase a mini-pack of tickets that features one of OU's premier home games and two additional non-conference and conference matchups of their choice.
