Video Update: Inside Sooner Wrestling Practice

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma wrestling squad is continuing its preparation for the 2009-10 season with daily workouts inside the Howard McCasland Field House.

Head coach Jack Spates identified key areas he and his staff are focusing on since official practice on Sept. 28.

“We are focusing on coming together as a team,” Spates said. “Secondly, to get the kids buying into hard work by making them work harder than they ever have before. And as always, making them understand how to work smart.”

The Sooners will host their annual Red/White scrimmage on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. inside the Howard McCasland Field House in Norman before opening the season Nov. 11 against Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
