IRVING, Texas -- Oklahoma's Ashley Paris was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league Monday.
Paris was voted player of the week for the second time this season.
Paris provided a team-leading 34 points in addition to 20 rebounds, six blocks, three assists and two steals in the Sooners' victories at home against Kansas State and Texas A&M last week.
Paris averaged a .615 field-goal percentage, hitting eight of 13 field goals in each of the two games.
Despite playing the nation's No. 1 scoring defense, Paris supplied 18 points and 10 rebounds in OU's 64-48 rout of Kansas State. Paris also had a career-high five blocks to go with her pair of assists and steals.
Against the nation's No. 3 scoring defense, Paris scored her 12th double-double of the season with a 16-point, 10-rebound performance against the Aggies.
The third-ranked Sooners travel to Boulder, Colo., Wednesday for a meeting with the Colorado Buffaloes. The game airs on Fox Sports Midwest and will play locally on COX Channel 7 in Oklahoma City and COX Channel 3 in Tulsa.
