OKLAHOMA CITY - Sophomore right-hander Andrew Doyle was named to the 2008 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of Sunday's title game.

The Rock Island, Ill., native is the 17th Sooner to be selected to the team since the Big 12 began play in 1997.

Doyle's complete game against Texas A&M in the tournament opener was the first of his career and the first by a Sooner across nine innings since Stephen Porlier tossed one versus Nebraska on April 13, 2007. Earlier this season, Michael Rocha lasted eight innings for a complete game earlier this season against Tennessee.

In addition, Doyle's 12 strikeouts against the Aggies marked a season high for any Sooner and the most since Stephen Porlier struck out the same amount of Texas A&M batters on March 23, 2007.

The 4-1 victory over Texas A&M was the first of two wins for Oklahoma (No. 8 seed) in pool play.  The Sooners also topped Missouri, 4-3, before falling to Texas on Saturday, 11-10, in a game that would have sent OU to play for its fourth conference tournament title.
