Oregon Head Coach Kathy Arendsen
On the game:
"We ran into a good ball club and did not do enough to beat them."

On her thoughts of OU:
"They have a nice mix of speed and power. They have timely hitting and we were not surprised by that. We knew that already, we have seen them and we kind of knew what to expect. They did a good job tonight."

On DJ Mathis
"D.J. (Mathis) spins the ball well and is a real gritty competitor who shut us down, so give her credit."

Oregon Senior Pitcher Alicia Cook
On the game:
"It was one of those days where everything went right for them (OU) and they put it all together."

On her thoughts of OU:
"They are a good team, they have good hitters and they were determined to hit the ball."

On how she felt she pitched tonight:
"I need to stay ahead of my counts to keep them chasing my stuff."

Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso
On the game:
"It seemed like we were forever waiting for this game, the days were really long. Especially after losing in the Big 12 tournament, we were really wanting to get back on the field. We had some really good practices preparing for this weekend and I thought we came out attacking. I thought Amber (Flores) had a great presence at the plate and set the tone for all of her at bats. D.J. (Mathis) was her usual self and set the tone for us off the mound. I love the way we swung the bats."

On OU's Defense:
"What I was most proud of this game was our defense. Our defense was exceptional. We were getting the lead outs. I was very pleased with our all-around aproach and performance in all phases of the game."

Oklahoma Junior First Baseman Samantha Ricketts
On the attempt to sustain success at the plate throughout the game:
"We really try to score every inning, and we tried hard to score after having a few innings off."

On preparing for the game:
"We love practicing and getting ready for games, but we wanted to play."

Oklahoma Sophomore Amber Flores
On the atmosphere of the game:
"After the loss to Nebraska and a week without playing, we were ready to go. We have been practicing hard, and we were really excited. We had a great crowd tonight and it was really exciting to be out there."

On her expectations for the rest of the tournament:
"Hopefully we can keep our momentum up throughout the rest of the tournament."

Oklahoma Junior Pitcher D.J. Mathis
On Oklahoma scoring two runs in the first:
"Coming out in the first game of the regional tournament and jumping right in the first play of the game with two runs. You cannot ask for anything more than that as a pitcher."
