ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Another day, another All-America honor for Courtney Paris.

This time it was the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) naming the Sooners' center to its 10-member women's basketball All-America squad Thursday.

Paris led the nation in rebounding and was among the NCAA's top 25 Division I players in scoring, blocks and field goal percentage.

Paris is joined on the USBWA All-America team by LSU's Sylvia Fowles, Middle Tennessee's Amber Holt, Maryland's Crystal Langhorne and Kristi Toliver, North Carolina's Erlana Larkins, Louisville's Angel McCoughtry, Connecticut's Maya Moore, Tennessee's Candace Parker and Stanford's Candice Wiggins.

Paris, Langhorne, Parker and Wiggins earned the USBWA distinction for a third time.

Connecticut's Geno Auriemma was named the association's coach of the year.  Parker was player of the year and Moore was freshman of the year.

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association, formed in 1956, has named a women's All-America team since the 1996-97 season. The association has also named a national player of the year since 1987-88 and a national coach of the year since 1989-90. In 2002-03, the USBWA initiated an award for the nation's top freshman.

Paris had previously been named to All-America teams by The Associated Press, Wooden Award Committee, Sports Illustrated, ESPN.com and CBSSports.com.
