Postgame Notes

• Oklahoma's three-game winning streak came to an end as it shot a season-low .264 from the field in a 62-45 loss at No. 7 Texas.

• The loss dropped the Sooners to 18-9 overall.  They remained tied for fourth place in the Big 12 with a 6-6 mark.

• Freshman forward Blake Griffin led the Sooners in points (16), rebounds (16) and assists (3) in 29 minutes of action.

• In his 10 full Big 12 games (not including OU's game at Kansas when he played five minutes before leaving with a knee injury), Griffin is now averaging 17.6 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.  Including the Kansas contest, Griffin is averaging 16.0 points, 10.2 boards and 2.2 assists in Big 12 play.

• Griffin's double-double was his ninth of the year and second this week (he averaged 22.5 points and 16.5 rebounds against Baylor and Texas the last two games).  Six of his double-doubles have come against teams that have been ranked at some point this season.

• Griffin has grabbed 48 rebounds over the last three games, an average of 16.0 per contest.

• Oklahoma finished with 15 offensive rebounds on the day but converted them into only eight second-chance points.

• OU held Texas to .373 field goal and .105 (2-for-19) 3-point field goal marks.  The Longhorns entered the game with respective .460 and .391 season figures (they ranked first in the Big 12 in 3-point field goal percentage).

• In its wins this year, OU is shooting .486 from the field and .407 from 3-point range.  In its losses, it is shooting .376 from the field and .272 from behind the 3-point arc.

• The Sooners are now 4-5 in road contests this year, with two of those wins coming agiainst ranked opponents at the time (West Virginia and Baylor).  OU plays its next game on Wednesday at Nebraska at 7 p.m. CST.
