SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Oklahoma men's golf team travels to San, Antonio, Texas, for the 13th annual UTSA Intercollegiate beginning Monday at Oak Hills Country Club. In its second tournament of the spring slate, OU will battle 15 other squads at the 6,765-yard, par 71 layout.
The two-day, 54-hole event begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday with the second round immediately proceeding and concludes on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
Air Force, Central Arkansas, DePaul, Illinois State, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, McNeese State, No. 25 Mississippi State, Rhode Island, defending champion Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, No. 17 Texas Tech, Texas State, UTSA and Wichita State conclude the field.
Oklahoma is led by sophomore Eric Durbin, who holds a 72.13 stroke average on the year. Playing in the second spot is 2007 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Jesse Schutte (72.33 stroke average), while Phillip Bryan, Ben Blundell and Liam Logan round out the OU rotation.
Sophomore Tyler Rody will compete as an individual in this week's action.
Oklahoma is coming off of a 13th-place showing at the UH-Hilo Intercollegiate in Waikoloa Village, Hawaii.
