Oklahoma Head Coach Jeff Capel:

Opening Comment:
“I want to congratulate Arkansas. They were terrific and played hard. Their crowd was fantastic and they had a great start. They could get anything they wanted from us tonight.

On Courtney Fortson:
“(Courtney) Fortson was magnificent. There is no question who the leader of their team is. It speaks volumes for a freshman. He was tremendous.  Everything was about the defense for us tonight. We shot too many threes and at times I thought we settled for threes. Blake (Griffin) anticipated getting double teamed. We've seen all kinds of defenses on him.

On Arkansas:
“This team (Arkansas) is well-coached and it shows that youth doesn't matter, talent does. John (Pelphrey) has done a good job getting them to play hard and win. I wish them good luck in the SEC. I don't know whether we were tired or what, but we had some lapses and they made us pay for them.”

Arkansas Head Coach John Pelphrey:
Opening Comment:
“I feel very fortunate and humbled to play this game and be a Razorback. This was an awesome environment tonight. Oklahoma is an unbelievable team. To compete with them we needed performances from guys we haven't seen this season and tonight we did. This is only one game and it goes away at midnight, but today we're very happy.”

On Oklahoma's Blake Griffin:
“We know how good Blake Griffin is and we did a good job on him tonight. Across the board we got some great play.”

On Marcus Monk:
“The craziest thing is that if you're a good human being and you do the right thing – my goodness. No words can describe. This is the best performance I've ever seen. That jersey means something to him.”

On Courtney Fortson:
“He is the straw that stirs the drink. He makes everyone's life better. He has a great attitude and he's very coachable.”
