NORMAN, Okla. -- SoonerSports.com's brings fans the 10th installment of the Baseball Newcomer Spotlights with a focus on junior right-handed pitcher Levi Rhoades.
In preparation for the 2009 season, Soonersports.com will help fans get to know the new faces around the diamond at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Rhoades is a native of Sentinel, Okla. and pitched at Western Oklahoma State College in 2008. The hurler started collegiately at Eastern Oklahoma State in 2007 after graduating from Sentinel High School where he was named all-state as a senior.
Throughout the rest of the semester, SoonerSports.com will feature one of the Sooners' 15 newcomers that will join a group of 18 letterwinners from the 2008 team that advanced to the Tempe Regional Finals before falling to then-No. 4 Arizona State.
Each spotlight will include an updated bio, Q&A session and videos of each player in action from the Red/White Series and a scouting report from OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway.

A: Coursin, Monte Farris, played for the Texas Rangers

A: I always have a Dr. Pepper on the way to the field
Q: What is the reason behind your uniform number?
A: No. 31 was assigned to me. I was No. 14 before coming to college.
