STORRS, Conn. -- Oklahoma and Connecticut head women's basketball coaches Sherri Coale and Geno Auriemma and their top-ranked teams will battle for the seventh time Sunday night in Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

Before the game, the two coaches will join forces in another fight.

Auriemma will autograph and donate and Brioni necktie and Coale a black Cole Haan handbag to be auctioned separately with all proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.

The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer FundTM is a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Auriemma serves on the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund's Board of Directors and Coale is the current WBCA President.

Bids may be placed by visiting the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's website, wbca.org, or Auriemma's site, GenosCancerTeam.com.

The auction officially opens at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 30, and closes one week later at 8 p.m. on Dec. 6.

The auction jumpstarts a series of promotions that will take place through February in conjunction with the 2009 WBCA Pink ZoneTM (Feb. 13-22, 2009), a coordinated, national effort by women's college basketball programs to bring awareness to cancer research.

Please join Coach Coale and Coach Auriemma in their efforts to fight cancer!
