IRVING, Texas -- Oklahoma's Ashley Paris was named the Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Paris led the Sooners in scoring and posted double-doubles against two of OU's three games of the Preseason Women's NIT last week.
The senior averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and a 63 percent field-goal shooting mark while helping No. 4 Oklahoma through the Preseason WNIT Championship Game and, along with sister Courtney, was named to its all-tournament team.
The Piedmont, Calif., native was 8-for-12 from the field for a team-high 21 points in OU's 85-65 victory over Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Paris also supplied five rebounds and three assists to one turnover in the game.

Against Arizona State Friday, Nov. 21, Paris posted her second double-double of the season with a 10-point, 10-rebound effort that saw her perfect (4-of-4) from the free-throw line.
Paris led OU in scoring against North Carolina in the Preseason WNIT Championship Game on Sunday, Nov. 23, banking 9-of-13 field goal attempts in a 20-point, 11-rebound performance -- her third double-double of the season and second in the five-day span of the tournament.
Texas A&M's Adaora Elonu was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
OU hosts Marist Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center.
