NORMAN, Okla. -- The OU baseball team concluded fall practices last week with the annual Red/White Series.
In preparation for the 2009 season, Soonersports.com will help fans get to know the new faces around the diamond at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Throughout the rest of the semester, SoonerSports.com will feature one of the Sooners' 15 newcomers that will join a group of 18 letterwinners from the 2008 team that advanced to the Tempe Regional Finals before falling to then-No. 4 Arizona State.
Each spotlight will include an updated bio, Q&A session and videos of each player in action from the Red/White Series and a scouting report from OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway.
The first installment focuses on freshman infielder Caleb Bushyhead from Mannford, Okla.
The freshman hit .524 with 10 homers, 55 RBIs and 22 doubles as a senior en route to earning conference player of the year honors at Mannford High School.
