NORMAN, Okla. -- Get the first look at the Big 12 Conference's preseason No. 1 when Sherri Coale's Sooners take to the Lloyd Noble Center floor Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m., for an exclusive scrimmage open to Fast Break Club members and season-ticket holders.

The team will scrimmage for approximately one-and-one-half hours and then will sign autographs for Fast Break Club members.

Highlighted by All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year Courtney Paris, All-Big 12 selection Ashley Paris and Big 12 Freshman of the Year Danielle Robinson, the University of Oklahoma women's basketball team returns 11 players and debuts two freshmen.

OU must prepare to battle through one of the NCAA's toughest schedules once again in 2008-09.  The Sooners begin the season hosting the Preseason WNIT before traveling to two top-ranked squads -- Connecticut and California.

The Sooners also have home dates against NCAA Championship-regular Marist at the Lloyd Noble Center on Nov. 26 and defending national champion Tennessee on Feb. 2, 2009, at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.  Of course, matchups with all Big 12 Conference teams loom later in the season.

Oklahoma precedes the regular season with the Oct. 23 scrimmage and exhibitions against Western State College of Colorado (Nov. 6) and Oklahoma Christian (Nov. 11).

Fans interested in purchasing tickets should call the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (405) 325-GoOU or toll-free at (800) 456-GoOU. Tickets may also be purchased online by visiting the ticket office link on SoonerSports.com.
