Recap | Final Stats | Notes
OKLAHOMA HEAD COACH SHERRI COALE
On the game:
"I was really, really proud of our team's effort. We played hard on both ends of the floor. Shared the basketball, moved the basketball probably better than we have all season. Defensively I thought we just set our jaw and guarded them. Now granted, they missed some shots which we haven't seen people do lately, but for whatever the reason it gave us some life. It gave us some energy and a little bit of confidence in our ability to defend. It didn't take much of that to really take it up another notch.
"When we started the game we were pretty good defensively and, when they missed a couple of shots, you could almost see our shoulders go back like, `okay, we can guard these guys.' We needed something good to happen, and that was good for us."
On having better spacing and movement with the ball:
"I think our spacing was better. Good offense always grows out of good spacing. Guys who came in did a great job of moving without the basketball. That concept for young players takes a while to sink in. It's not an easy thing to learn to do, because most of them were the best player in the gym in high school and they would play with the ball in their hand all the time. So you have to get moving without it. I thought our movement was excellent, but I also thought our post guys were very poised and patient.
"They didn't rush things; they didn't have a lot of turnovers from that position. They just kicked it out versus the double team and made the extra pass and got some high-quality shots. I think you could see for a little bit some of the potential of these young guys -- Carlee (Roethlisberger) in particular. I think you could see these guys are going to be really, really good."
On the upcoming game against Georgia:
"I think it's a significant game for us because of the national landscape. I think Georgia is way better than the ranking they reflect right now. They've lost a couple in the SEC like we've lost a couple in the Big 12. There are good teams in the SEC and Georgia has great pieces. Their post guy, she's as good as anybody in the country. Their point guard is excellent. I'm not sure that they've put it all together yet and maybe their situation is what our situation. It's an important game for us with post-season repercussions.
OKLAHOMA FRESHMAN GUARD DANIELLE ROBINSON
On the game:
"I think this definitely boosts our confidence. We played more together than we have during the season and I think that we had the ability to just go out there and have fun. I think that we had fun tonight more than we have in the Big 12 so far."
OKLAHOMA SOPHOMORE FORWARD AMANDA THOMPSON
On bouncing back after a loss:
"We did not take the loss and sob. We went to the gym and worked and got better. We worked on defense a lot more and took more shots. We definitely made more shots and layups. We had a good approach to our loss. It worked. We came out strong today.
On her game:
"It felt pretty good. I have been working a lot off of the court to get my jump shot right. So I feel good. To make shots in a game; it was a great feeling."

TEXAS TECH HEAD COACH KRISTI CURRY
On the game:
"I want to credit Oklahoma; they did a great job of coming out with a lot of energy. We had a great weekend and came out tonight and we were not the same basketball team that I have seen. We dug ourselves a hole early and really never got out of it. I think tonight is one of those nights were you just have to put a check next to Oklahoma and give them credit for having energy and playing well early."
On Oklahoma spreading the floor:
"I think our main problem tonight was, again, our energy and our effort. You have to give Oklahoma credit. I'm not going to come in here and not do that. Some coaches kind of forget that you just have to respect and understand that Oklahoma deserves a lot of credit. Obviously, I thought our energy and our effort was the complete opposite end of the spectrum from the weekend. It's disappointing and it's something that we have to figure out why."
