ATLANTA -- Oklahoma head women's basketball coach Sherri Coale was named "Most Fun to Watch" in a vote by the members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
The WBCA announced its winners for the 2008 WBCA Superlatives for NCAA Division I and Division II.
"I'd like to congratulate all of our 2008 WBCA Superlative winners," said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. "In just its second year, we are continuing to see growing popularity in this program on all levels. We hope to see even more members involved in the years to come."
Coale earned an award for the second consecutive year. In 2007, Coale was named "Best Dressed."
Nominations for the WBCA Superlatives were submitted through an online survey form. The top vote-getters for each superlative were then voted on through a balloting process, with the top vote-getter for each category being named the winner.
Founded in 1981, the WBCA promotes women's basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game as a sport for women and girls. For additional information about the WBCA, please visit wbca.org .
