Jan. 12, 2008
Attendance in today's game was 13,611 -- a Gallagher-Iba Arena record and the largest crowd in the state's history to watch a women's college basketball game. The previous high was 12,413 -- the attendance for the 2007 Big 12 Tournament Championship Game at the Cox Center in Oklahoma City between the Sooners and Iowa State.
The 82-63 defeat was OU's worst lost since falling to Michigan State, 80-60, in Norman on Dec. 21, 2005.
Oklahoma State opened game on 9-0 until OU scored on an Ashley Paris layup at the 12:13 mark. It was Oklahoma's longest scoring drought to open a game this season.
The Sooners trailed the Cowgirls 30-17 at the half. Oklahoma's 17-point first half matched its lowest scoring first half of the year. OU trailed Michigan State at the half 28-17 before rallying for a 66-55 victory in East Lansing, Mich.
Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley scored 45 points -- the most ever allowed by an Oklahoma individual opponent. OU had allowed 41 twice before (Texas Tech's Carolyn Thompson on Feb. 18, 1982 and Missouri's Renee Kelly on Jan. 25, 1986).
Courtney Paris
Paris extended her double-double streak to 74 games. She has 79 double-double in 82 career games.
Amanda Thompson
Thompson's 3-point makes in the second half were the second and third attempts of her career (all three this season).
Thompson's 18 points were a career high.
