NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma women's tennis team will travel to Ames, Iowa on Friday, April 6 to face off against the Iowa State Cyclones. This will be the 32nd meeting of the two teams, with Oklahoma leading the series 30-1. The Sooners lone loss to the Cyclones came in 2001 in Ames.
Both teams come into Friday's match-up after hosting Kansas State last week. Oklahoma, currently 6-9 overall and 3-3 in Big 12 play, is coming off a 4-3 win over the Wildcats Saturday, March 31.
ISU fell to K-State, 5-2, Wednesday, April 4 at their home courts in Ames. The loss to Kansas State puts the Cyclones at 5-7 on the season and 0-6 in Big 12 play.
The trip to Ames will be the first of three consecutive road matches for OU. Friday's match will begin at 3 p.m. (CT) Results will be posted on SoonerSports.com.
