NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Wrestling team handed out postseason awards Sunday in the Kerr McGee Courtside Club located at the Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners celebrated the 2006-07 season and 2007 Big 12 Champions Sam Hazewinkel and Matt Storniolo. Hazewinkel was also honored for his fourth straight All-American finish.
Also being honored at the event were five graduating seniors: Hazewinkel, Joe Comparin, Storniolo, Shane Seibert and Joel Flaggert.
Oklahoma finished the 2006-07 campaign with a record of 11-7 and a fifth-place standing at the Big 12 championships. The Sooners qualified six wrestlers for the NCAA Championships and earned one All-America honor.
Hazewinkel finished as the runner-up at 125 pounds.
