NORMAN, Okla. -- After rain in Oklahoma postponed Friday's series opener, the No. 23 Sooners' baseball team is set for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 14 beginning at 3 p.m. against Nebraska at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The second game will follow 45 minutes after the completion of game one (weather permitting). Sunday's finale is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
Tickets purchased for Friday or Saturday will be honored at both games of the doubleheader. Fans that have purchased a reserved seat for Friday's game will use that same seat location on Saturday for the second game only. The first game of the day will be televised by Fox Sports Southwest (Cox channel 37 in Oklahoma City) and all three games of the series can be heard live on the Sooners' flagship station, KOKC 1520 AM.
Gates will open an hour and a half before first pitch and the first 1,000 fans on Saturday will receive a free Sunny Golloway mustache.
The baseball program's second cookout, scheduled to take place before Saturday's 3 p.m. game, has also been postponed. The Home Run Club moved the function to a noon start on Sunday. There will also be two additional cookouts during the remainder of the home portion of the schedule on April 28 vs. Kansas and May 19 vs. Texas Tech.
The Home Run Club tent is located inside the gates at L. Dale Mitchell Park and those interested in joining the club can sign up for a $50 membership.
