NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma women's tennis team will return to the courts on Friday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at the Headington Family Tennis Center. The Sooners will host the University of Missouri Tigers in their third Big 12 match of the season.
OU is currently 4-5 on the season and 1-1 in Big 12 play. The Sooners are coming off a 7-0 loss to No. 25 Baylor last Friday. The Sooners were led against Baylor by juniors Chelsea Orr and Rachael Cox at No. 3 doubles. The duo captured the team's lone victory, defeating Baylor's Jana Bielikova and Iva Mihaylova, 8-4.
The Tigers enter Friday's match 5-5 on the season and 1-2 in the Big 12. Missouri is coming off a 4-3 loss Monday to Louisville at home.
This will be the 24th meeting of the two teams with Oklahoma leading 22-1 in the overall series. The last time the teams faced off was April 17, 2005 in Norman, where the Sooners won 4-3.
