NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Josh Alexander matched his season high with 19 points to lead Stephen F. Austin to 66-62 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday.

Alexander had 13 points in the opening half when the Lumberjacks (7-1) took the lead and the junior guard sank back-to-back 3-points in the final 2:30 to help the visitors survive a late Oklahoma rally.

The Sooners (7-3) trailed by as many as nine in the second half, mostly due to cold shooting and a handful of untimely turnovers. But a David Godbold 3-pointer capped a 9-2 run that cut the SFA lead to 46-44 with 6:26 remaining.

Over the ensuing two minutes, Oklahoma missed three straight chances to either tie the game or take the lead. It was still 46-44 when Gerald Fonzie hit a 3-pointer at the 3:46 mark, and Alexander followed with consecutive treys to make it 55-47 with 1:44 left.

The Sooners twice cut the deficit to two in the closing moments, but the Lumberjacks connected on four straight free throws _ two by Matt Kingsley and two by Alexander _ in the final 17 seconds to seal the win.

Kingsley complemented Alexander's performance with 16 points for Stephen F. Austin, while Eric Bell finished with 12 points and 9 assists. Fonzie was the fourth Lumberjack in double-figures with 10 points.

Oklahoma, coming off of a 90-66 win over Tulsa 72 hours earlier, struggled offensively from the opening tip. The Sooners shot just 27 percent from the field in the opening half and finished the contest at 40 percent (20 of 50).

Longar Longar led OU with 19 points, 17 of which came after the intermission when the hosts tried to take advantage of a size advantage in the paint. Godbold had 11 points for the Sooners, while Blake Griffin had 10 points and six rebounds.
