$5 Tickets for Saturday's Game

December 13, 2007 | Men's Basketball

NORMAN, Okla. -- This week has been very tough for many Oklahomans with the recent winter weather and resulting power outages.

In response, the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced plans to offer $5 tickets to Saturday's men's basketball game versus Arkansas for all those affected by the winter storm and all OU faculty and staff.  In addition, OU students are being offered free admission for the game with their OU ID.

"We realize there are members of our community who are going through a difficult time right now," Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione said. "It has been a long week for many people, including members of our own staff, so we want to offer a special opportunity to come have some fun, support our Sooners, and display our great spirit to a national television audience."

The 2007 Big 12 Champion football team will also be at Saturday's game.  Players will sign autographs from 1 to 2 p.m. on the upper concourse. Autographs will be limited to one item per person and the OU Athletics Department asks that fans refrain from taking any photographs in order to keep the lines moving swiftly and smoothly. The team will also be recognized at halftime and will address the crowd.

Saturday's game versus Arkansas tips off at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

A limited number of tickets are remaining for the game. Call the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668 or (405) 325-2424 to reserve your seats. Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis and are subject to availability.
