NORMAN, Okla. -- The first installment of Bedlam wrestling hits Stillwater, Okla., this Sunday, Dec. 2, when No. 21 Oklahoma (4-0) visits No. 3-ranked Oklahoma State (4-0) at 2 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

"Our guys are very excited about Bedlam and have worked very hard to prepare for this Sunday," OU head coach Jack Spates said. "This has the potential to be one of the best duals between these two Oklahoma schools in years."

The dual will mark the beginning of Big 12 competition for both teams.

The rivalry match is scheduled to be televised live by Cox Channel 7 in Oklahoma City. It will also be joined in progress by Cox Channel 3 in Tulsa. Both stations will re-air the dual in its entirety immediately following the match.

Oklahoma currently claims six ranked individuals in its starting lineup, led by 197-pound senior Joel Flaggert and 149-pound junior Will Rowe, both ranked ninth in the nation. Redshirt freshman Zack Bailey is ranked No. 15 at 141 pounds and seniors Max Dean (165 pounds) and Joshua Weitzel (184 pounds) are ranked No. 16 and 11, respectively. Redshirt freshman Nathan Fernandez rounds out the list ranked No. 20 in the heavyweight division.

Oklahoma State also has four ranked wrestlers in its lineup, led by 133-pounder Coleman Scott who is ranked second in the nation. Nathan Morgan is ranked fourth at 141 pounds and 174-pounder Brandon Mason is ranked fifth. Heavyweight Jared Rosholt ranks 10th nationally.

"Fans are going to see some great matchups this Sunday," Spates said. "We are anticipating a lot of high scoring matches and look forward to seeing how our young group responds against a great Oklahoma State squad."

Sunday will be the first of two duals scheduled this season between the in-state foes. OSU travels to Norman on Feb. 21 to complete the series.

OSU defeated the Sooners in both duals last season, most recently a 29-6 win in Stillwater on Feb. 11, 2007. The Cowboys edged the Sooners 17-15 in the first meeting in Norman last December.

After visiting Stillwater, the Sooners will continue their road-stretch in a dual versus Central Oklahoma in Edmond on Dec. 7.
