LINCOLN, Neb. - The No. 22 Oklahoma volleyball team fell to No. 2 Nebraska Saturday night, 3-0 (30-18, 30-25, 30-20), in Lincoln. The Huskers stretched their home win streak to 69 straight matches.

The Sooners fell to 20-8 and 12-6 in the Big 12 while Nebraska pushed its record to 25-1 and 17-1 in conference play.

Freshman Chrissy Disarro made her first start of her young OU career as she filled in for Anna Stadel, who did not play due to illness. The rookie made the most of her start as she recorded career highs in kills (seven) and blocks (eight). Disarro led the defensive effort against the nation's top offense as the middle blocker tallied a match-high eight blocks with six block assists and two solos.

Jackie Fotu saw plenty of court time against the Huskers and also added three block assists.

The Husker offense was solid with a .317 hitting percentage while the Sooner offense tallied a .122 clip. Led by Fotu and Disarro's efforts, the Oklahoma defense hung with the Huskers at the net as OU notched eight blocks to NU's 11.

Sarah Weiland was OU's top offensive weapon in the match as she recorded a match-high 13 kills, but was the lone Sooner to record double-digit kills while the Huskers had four players record at least 11 kills each.

OU's back-row defense was similar to Nebraska's as Oklahoma produced 42 digs to NU's 48. Libero Hannah Sharp recorded a team-high 16 digs while Bridget Laplante added 10.

Disarro sparked the Sooners in the first game as she tallied two straight kills and a block to give OU the 5-4 lead in the first frame. The two squads battled back and forth until NU went on a 7-1 run to take the 15-11 lead, but a Disarro kill and a Fotu block got the Sooners within striking distance at 16-14. Leading 19-16, the Huskers used a huge 11-2 run to close out the match and win the first frame, 30-18. Disarro added four kills and two block assists and a solo block in the frame, but Nebraska's offense was too much as the Huskers recorded a .364 clip on the offensive end.

Oklahoma jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the second game and extended its lead to 10-6, forcing Nebraska to call a timeout. However, the Huskers took their first lead of the match at 14-13 as Oklahoma called a timeout. Oklahoma battled back to tie it up at 21-21 and take the lead at 24-22 as Nebraska called another timeout. The Huskers roared back as and took the 25-24 lead, but Oklahoma didn't fold as it tied it up at 25-25. However, the NU offense caught fire and used a 5-0 run to seal game two and win 30-25.

The Oklahoma offense was more consistent in game two as it recorded a .146 clip compared to NU's .140. Led by Fotu and Disarro, the OU defense battled as it recorded four team blocks in the second frame with Disarro adding three block assists and a solo block.

Nebraska rolled out to a 4-3 advantage in set three, but Oklahoma used a 3-0 run to lead 6-4. The Sooners maintained the lead until a 5-0 run by Nebraska put the Huskers back on top 15-12. Oklahoma couldn't overcome the Husker run as NU used its momentum and took the 25-15 advantage and rolled to a 30-20 win in the final frame to claim the match.

The Sooners will play their final home match of the season this Wednesday as they host Missouri at 7 p.m. inside the McCasland Field House. It will also mark Senior Night as Mariana Blum, Julie Chester, Hannah Sharp Anna Stadel and Sarah Weiland will play their final home match for the Sooners.

Oklahoma will close out the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 24 as it travels to Iowa State to take on the Cyclones at 7 p.m.
