OKLAHOMA HEAD COACH SHERRI COALE
On tonight's game:
"We had a great crowd tonight. I'm very pleased with the amount of people that showed up on a Grey's Anatomy night of all things. We did some good stuff, and we did some not so good stuff. After a while, it got hard to tell. We had a lot of guys contribute, so that's important."
On the freshmen class:
"I thought our freshman were really terrific and I expected that. They were practicing very, very well everyday. Danielle (Robinson) has some `wow' kind of speed, so I think that got everyone excited and it kind of gives us another dimension. You saw with Carlee (Roethlisberger) and Jenny (Vining) that they both have a nice skill set, that they're both learners and that they're getting better defensively. It was nice to be able to get everyone on the field and look at all the different kinds of combinations."
On goals for the exhibition game:
"We thought about competing on every piece of every possession, particularly defensively. We wanted to put a little pressure on the ball and challenge the passing lanes a little more. I thought we did that here and there, but we didn't do it with a sense of consistency. We didn't get pushed into defensive transition the way we're going to in about a week, so that wasn't tested. Offensively, I probably pushed us into a few of those turnovers in the second half because I didn' t want us taking the first open shot that we could get every time on the floor."
