Men's Tennis Victorious in Fall Opener

Sooners Eliminated in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - After winning his opening match of the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American Championship, Andrei Daescu was eliminated in round two 6-2, 6-7(7), 6-2 by Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State.

With the loss, Daescu was eliminated from the tournament.

The doubles tandem of Federico Chavarria and Andrei Daescu teamed up in the main draw against Drew Eberly and Justin Kronauge of Ohio State.  The OU duo was defeated by the Buckeyes 8-4.

With the OU defeats, the Sooners are eliminated from the tournament.

Oklahoma returns to the court on Oct. 15 when the Sooners compete in the Mansfield Futures in Mansfield, Texas.
