Freshman forward Blake Griffin scored 19 points on 8-of-11 (.727) shooting in just 21 minutes to pace the Sooners. Griffin, who had six dunks on the night, also led all Oklahoma players with his eight boards.
Oklahoma shot 33-of-53 (.623) from the field including 12-of-21 (.571) shooting from long range.
Oklahoma led 18-16 at the 13:24 mark of the first half but went on a 25-7 run to lead 42-23 after a dunk by Blake Griffin at the 5:29 mark.
Tony Crocker added 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting. His only miss came on a block.
Crocker (3-for-3) and junior point guard Austin Johnson (4-for-4) were perfect from long range, combining for seven makes.
Johnson scored nine second-half points (3-of-3 from long range) after connecting on his only field-goal attempt in the opening half. The Amarillo, Texas, native led the Sooners with six assists and had no turnovers.
Senior center Longar Longar made all three of his field goal attempts on the game and added five rebounds and five assists without committing a turnover.
OU hit its first six shots of the contest and 16 of its first 20. The Sooners jumped out to an 18-13 advantage before finally missing a shot at the 13:37 mark. Oklahoma was 19-of-27 (.700) from the field during first-half action that included five treys on 10 attempts.
Oklahoma scored 18 points off 14 Rockhurst turnovers and also outmanned the Hawks in the paint, outscoring them 34-12.
Nine OU players scored a bucket in first-half action and eight of 12 players shot at least 50 percent from the field for the game.
The Sooners improved to 38-2 in exhibition games over the past 20 seasons.
Tonight's game marked the first meeting between the schools.
