OU Launches Sooner Sports Travel

NORMAN, Okla. -- In a joint effort, the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association, OU Athletics Department and Sooner Club have created a new and unique fan travel and hospitality initiative called "Sooner Sports Travel." This initiative, in conjunction with Premiere College Sports, is the first of its kind for OU. It will make Sooner Sports Travel the official University of Oklahoma fan travel program for all OU alumni, season ticket holders and fans when following the Sooners on the road.
"OU athletics events are often a window into the entire spectrum of exciting developments occurring on and off the OU campus," OU President David Boren said. "I am pleased with the new opportunities this program will offer our alumni and fans across the nation and overseas."
This new, year-round program will create fan travel and hospitality packages for special regular season and all post-season football games and NCAA Tournament basketball games. Additionally, Sooner Sports Travel will provide Oklahoma fans travel and hospitality options to such sporting events as the Kentucky Derby, the Masters, the Super Bowl and the Daytona 500.

"The creation of Sooner Sports Travel will give OU's alumni and friends many opportunities to experience the best in college travel programs," said Tripp Hall, vice president and executive director of the OU Alumni Association. "Our traveling fans will be able to enjoy the service, accommodations and opportunities that Sooner Sports Travel has to offer and to experience many sport venues outside our own schedule, such as the Kentucky Derby and NASCAR, to name a few. Sooner fans of all sports will benefit from this new program. "
