Baseball Announces Radio Schedule

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma baseball team released its 2007 radio and internet broadcast schedule on Thursday. The entire 56-game regular season schedule will be broadcast live on the internet via Yahoo.
In addition, KOKC 1520 AM will again serve as the flagship station of Sooner baseball and 40-plus games are scheduled to broadcast live. Additionally, 11 of the games are set to be carried on the Sooners Sports' Network, enabling fans to listen to OU baseball on the radio state-wide. The Sooner's first radio broadcast on KOKC is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 11, against Western Kentucky at the Hughes Bros. Challenge in Wilmington, N.C. The season opener, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2 against Texas State, as well as the other four games leading up to the Feb. 11 contest will be aired as internet broadcasts only.
The play-by-play will once again be done by Chuck Kelly, who will be entering his third year with the Sooners baseball team in 2007.

The Sooners will kick off the 2007 season with the Fourth Annual Diamond Dinner Banquet on Friday, Jan. 26. The event will be held at the OU Student Union Ballroom and will get underway at 7 p.m. The 2007 Sooners, as well as former players, will be in attendance. The program will honor three former Sooner greats in Geoff Geary, Eddie Fisher and L. Dale Mitchell.
In addition, for the first time, the program will be holding an auction with various OU memorabilia available. A live and silent auction will be held and a complete list of the items can be found by clicking here.
