NORMAN, Okla. - The OU men's basketball team improved to 10-6 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 play on Wednesday night as Michael Neal netted 20 points and Nate Carter added 19 in a 70-53 win over Nebraska. Neal's 20 were a season high as he made six 3-pointers while Carter's 19 marked his most ever in an Oklahoma uniform.
With starting center Longar Longar serving the second of a two-game suspension levied by the Big 12 Conference and OU's tallest player on Wednesday standing just 6-7, the Sooners outrebounded the Huskers by a 37-21 count (11-2 on the offensive glass). OU also held Nebraska to .349 field goal shooting on the night (.308 in the second half).
