Women's Hoops Game Postponed

January 12, 2007 | Women's Basketball

NORMAN -- Due to the forecast of severe weather and hazardous travel conditions, the Big 12 Conference announced the postponement of Sunday's women's basketball game between Oklahoma and Texas Tech. The Sooners and Lady Raiders were to play Sunday at 2 p.m., inside the Lloyd Noble Center.

The Sooners and Lady Raiders have rescheduled the game for Monday, Jan. 22, at the Lloyd Noble Center. Tip time and television information are still to be confirmed.

Season tickets and pre-purchased single game tickets for this weekend will be honored on Jan. 22.

Oklahoma will return to the hardwood on Jan. 17 at Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls and Sooners will meet at 7 p.m., at Gallagher Iba. The contest will be broadcast by Fox Sports Southwest.

The cancellation essentially turns OU's current stretch into a four game road trip. The Sooners have already visited Nebraska and Baylor in back-to-back games, and will venture to Colorado after OSU.

The rescheduled Texas Tech game will set up a three-game homestand that will be concluded with Iowa State (Jan. 24) and Texas A&M (Jan. 27). OU will now play seven of its final 11 Big 12 games at the Lloyd Noble Center.
