NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team is set to open its fall season Sept. 15-17 at the Baylor Fall Invitational in Waco, Texas.
Junior Gabby Baker will not be in attendance because she will make her debut at the All-American Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif., Sept. 30. The event runs through Oct. 1.
OU head coach Mark Johnson, who is entering his 19th year at Oklahoma, is excited for the fall season.
“I think it's an excellent schedule,” said Johnson. ”We have four very strong events starting with Baylor in mid September and finishing with the regional championship in Tulsa in mid October.”
The Sooners return eight letterwinners from last year's 9-16 (3-8 in Big 12) squad.
