Tip In Club Golf Classic is Aug. 18

NORMAN, Okla. - OU men's basketball head coach Jeff Capel and his staff invite fans to participate in the 17th Annual Tip In Club Golf Classic and Dinner Party to be held Friday, Aug. 18.
The six-player team golf portion of the event will take place at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course with tee times at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Included in the $1,050 per squad ($175 per player) cost are greens fee, cart, golf shirt, lunch, team photo with coach Capel, long-drive and closest-to-the-hole contests, dinner tickets, door prizes (at dinner) and awards for the top two teams of each round.
Also, participants will be able to register at the golf course for a trip for two anywhere in the continental United States (airline tickets are courtesy of Journey House Travel).
The dinner will be held at the Kerr-McGee Courtside Club at Lloyd Noble Center at 7 p.m. Individuals wishing to attend the dinner without golfing will be charged $15. Live and silent auctions will be held in conjunction with the dinner, with Sooner Basketball memorabilia and gift packages from area merchants being featured.
