Sooners 10th After Two Rounds at Aggie Invitational

Golfers Tied for Fifth at Maxwell

NORMAN, Okla. The University of Oklahoma men's golf team is in a tie for fifth place after the first two rounds of the Perry Maxwell Intercollegiate Invitational at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Okla.

The Sooners concluded play Saturday with a two-round total of 542 (-18). Oklahoma stands 18 strokes behind team leader and defending champion Oklahoma State.

OU was paced by sophomore Phillip Bryan who fired rounds of 68 and 70 and stands in a tie for 15th place at even par.

Big 12 runner-up Brodie Flanders followed a first-round 74 with a three-under 67 in round two. The senior from Petitcodiac, New Brunswick, is tied for 18th.

Junior Nick Sheedy is tied for 32nd overall at four-over-par, while seniors Justin Fraley and Shawn LaFontaine are tied for 36th at 146 (+6).

Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Jonathan Moore of Oklahoma State holds a five shot advantage in the individual standings after posting rounds of 64 and 66 at Dornick Hills' 6,543-yard, par 70 layout.
