NORMAN, Okla. The No. 20 Oklahoma volleyball continues to roll as it added another sweep Saturday night with a 3-0 victory (30-27, 30-15, 30-19) over Texas A&M inside the Howard McCasland Field House. The Sooner offense was clicking on all cylinders as the team recorded a .345 hitting percentage while the defense held the Aggies to a .075 hitting percentage.
Oklahoma, who remains second in the Big 12 standings, improved to 19-4 and 11-2 in the conference after beating Texas A&M for the second straight time this season and only the third time in the series history. Texas A&M, who didn't lead once in the second or third game, fell to 10-11 overall and 3-10 in the Big 12.
“I thought our offense was very consistent tonight as each girl recorded a high hitting percentage,” head coach Santiago Restrepo said. “It was also nice to get our blocking game going again tonight. I'm just proud of our girls for staying focused throughout the entire match and improving each game.”

The offense was spread throughout the lineup Saturday night with four Sooners recording double-digit kills and every Sooner hitting above .240 on the night.
Setter Rachel Jackson captained the Sooner offense with her 44 assists while also leading OU to an impressive .429 hitting percentage in the third and final game.
Senior Laura Tomes led the way with her 13 kills and match-high .706 clip, her second-highest hitting percentage of the season. Tomes only recorded one error in 17 attempts. Eliane Santos and Bridget Laplante followed Tomes with 11 kills each while Santos was also very consistent with a .364 hitting percentage.
Sarah Weiland wasn't far off of double-digit kills as her seven timely kills led her to a consistent .385 hitting percentage.
In a night that was set to honor Joanna Schmitt, the senior outside hitter continued to shine as she notched her 12th double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs. Schmitt was honored after the match for reaching the 1,000 kill and 1,000 dig mark in her career last week. She is the only player in the rally-scoring era to accomplish the feat.
The defense was just as consistent as the offensive side for the Sooners. Oklahoma recorded 11.5 blocks at the net with six different Sooners recording multiple blocks. The team's leading blocker, Santos, was once again the highlight for the defense with her two solo blocks and match-high six block assists.
Other defensive contribution came from Jackson, Tomes and Weiland who added three block assists each while Schmitt and Laplante recorded two block assists.
In the back row, libero Anna Monsen recorded a match-high 14 digs while defensive specialist Hannah Sharp added defensive support with six digs.
The Sooners will remain at home this Tuesday as they step out of conference play to take on TCU. OU and TCU will host a Halloween match at 7 p.m. in the Field House.
