NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma women's cross country team runs its final regular-season event Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Indiana State University Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute.
Junior Jessica Eldridge leads the Sooners in their final tune-up before the Big 12 Championships and the remainder of the post-season. Joining Eldridge will be senior Aja Clark, juniors Kristi Cook and Catherine Odell and freshman Ashley Storm.
The race is held at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center, which will host the NCAA National Cross Country Championships for a third consecutive season. With the debut of the new women's 6,000-meter LaVern Gibson Course, the meet holds more importance than in former years as coaches and competitors alike adjust to the new layout.
