TULSA, Okla. - The Oklahoma women's tennis team struggled on Sunday in the final day of the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa. The Sooners, who won five singles matches this weekend, did not post any singles victories Sunday against host team Tulsa.

Sophomore Rachael Cox split her first two sets with Agostina Santoro but fell in the final set, 7-5. Sophomore Christi Baxley won her first set against Carla Zabaleta, but Zabaleta earned a 6-2, 6-1 comeback over Baxley in the second and third set.

Junior Anne Carter dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Santie Delport, while sophomore Chelsea Orr picked up a 6-0, 6-2 loss to Thalia Diaz-Barriga. Freshman Brittany Baldy was also unable to net a victory, as she fell to Kindsay Grimes, 6-2, 7-5.

The Sooners will have two more opportunities to compete in the fall season. They will travel to Salt Lake City, Nev., for the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships Oct. 19-23 and will then head to Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 3-6 for the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.
